Summer is finally here and for those of us in trade organizations, that means one thing, the summer marketing events have begun!
Weekly, you’ll be receiving invitations for cocktail hours, group outings and, our favorite, expos! But, are you ready for your upcoming expos? We can help your booth stand out from the rows of other exhibitors with repetitive stock image graphic hop up stands!
Booking the booth will be the most crucial part of choosing what type of display you will need.
There tend to be three types of booths Expo’s typically utilize; these booths are:
- Standard/ Linear Booths – Also referred to as inline booths, these booths tend to be 10 feet by 10 feet. Only the front is exposed allowing attendees to enter, whereas the sides and back are connected to neighboring exhibitors.
Perimeter Booths – These booths are almost identical to standard booths, however the backing is against the exhibit facility rather than to another exhibitor.
- Island Booths – Sometimes difficult to manage, this booth is surrounded by aisles and are typically 20 feet by 20 feet.
Buying a display stand can get tricky, some questions that are often overlooked are:
Will I be able to travel with this display stand easily?
How easy is this display to set up and break down?
But don’t worry about these questions, we will walk you through everything!
Once you have chosen your booth, contact us and we will go through everything and create a display stand that is sure to attract visitors!
In the meantime, take a look at some of the different types of display stand we supply: http://www.exhibitors-handbook.com/
Genesis Cleaning Services has been a client of our for many years and it was time to … clean up … their marketing initiatives.
The founder of the Genesis Cleaning Services had a short consultation with Alcides, she arrived with a concept, objectives and faith in our expertise. Concluding the consultation, Genesis Cleaning Services embarked on disinfecting their current marketing initiatives by implementing a new design for business cards, postcards and their website. A social presence was one of Genesis’ objectives; we decided that a promotion would aid in building their fan base.
To unsmudge the Genesis Cleaning image, we creating a new color palette while still keeping their original color of purple. This new color palette became a big part of their look and was used consistently across each of the designs.
Our first task was to create a clean business card; while still listing numerous services offered. We seeked to have a visually appealing business card that screamed freshness!
Secondly, similar to the business card, we designed a spotless postcard. This postcard would include a promotion of a free cleaning that would move traffic to the newly improved Genesis Cleaning Services website. This postcard would then be sent by Every Door Direct Mail which is designed to reach every home, every address, every time.
Genesis Cleaning Services’ website was originally very clean, however some might of said it was bare. We wanted the website to sparkle; we incorporated bright colors, photos of Genesis Cleaning Services in action, easy access to estimates and detailed company information.

The web development task was two fold. The first part was to create website content in a way that would be picked up by search engines for local searches. The second was to design and develop the website.
In completing the web development, we created detailed profiles on some of the top local online directories. We ensured that Genesis Cleaning Services gleamed over competitors.
Needless to say, we enjoyed sanitizing Genesis Cleaning Services’ marketing initiatives!

Changes within the management consulting & advisement industry are happening rapidly. In this time of change, Mag Advisors decided to update their identity by recreating a new custom logo design.
Mag Advisors wanted to be distinguishable from other consulting & advisement firms; they have broken away from the obvious. Their clients should know and recognize that Mag Advisors realizes the importance of a strong brand image as well as their internal operations.
We aspired to design a company logo design that portrays their identity as one that takes a modern and collaborative, hands-on approach to advisement. Having that in mind, we incorporated curves, soft corners and deep rich colors to their logo.
Updating a business logo design is a hefty project and many people often dismiss the great importance a logo has for a company. However, we can tell you first hand the improvement and recognition that a well designed logo project can bring for a company- if you don’t believe us ask our clients!
Natalie Gutin is a well respected realtor from Hoboken, NJ. She came to us with an idea for a new catalog to help get her message and services across to potential clients. The outcome was a successful 12-page catalog design featuring new property listings and statistics from the local area. This project helped show her amazing professionalism and leading her clients to a satisfying experience with The Gutin Group.
In my opinion, sketching is the cornerstone of greater design. Never beginning a digital design until I have exhausted all analog (pen & paper) ideas gives me a wider range of possibilities.
If you want to start sketching, begin by never using the excuse “but I can’t draw well,” it’s not about drawing well, it’s about getting your ideas out as quickly as possible visually continuously making your brain work for better concepts. This is most effective for a hand made logo design
Do you think sketching /drawing helps you design better or think more efficiently?
Here are some sketches I pulled out from my sketchbook:
Besides developing the initial brand components for www.HealthyLunchMenus.com, we were contracted to create this cool infographic design showcasing their featured Healthy Tips. We wanted these tips to have major impact and to not be easily over looked.
Does it really matter that a designer spent time forming a concept to create a logo design?
To the untrained eye, I personally think it doesn’t. But for the designer it’s imperative. First impressions count and that depends on weather the logo is attractive or not. With that being said, I still think it’s an important part of the design process for every designer in order to help him/her create a more suitable logo for the client and appropriate industry.
Here is an example of one logo that I created which had a concept/meaning:
Here is another example (designed by Malcom Grear Designers)
