Summer is finally here and for those of us in trade organizations, that means one thing, the summer marketing events have begun!
Weekly, you’ll be receiving invitations for cocktail hours, group outings and, our favorite, expos! But, are you ready for your upcoming expos? We can help your booth stand out from the rows of other exhibitors with repetitive stock image graphic hop up stands!
Booking the booth will be the most crucial part of choosing what type of display you will need.
There tend to be three types of booths Expo’s typically utilize; these booths are:
- Standard/ Linear Booths – Also referred to as inline booths, these booths tend to be 10 feet by 10 feet. Only the front is exposed allowing attendees to enter, whereas the sides and back are connected to neighboring exhibitors.
Perimeter Booths – These booths are almost identical to standard booths, however the backing is against the exhibit facility rather than to another exhibitor.
- Island Booths – Sometimes difficult to manage, this booth is surrounded by aisles and are typically 20 feet by 20 feet.
Buying a display stand can get tricky, some questions that are often overlooked are:
Will I be able to travel with this display stand easily?
How easy is this display to set up and break down?
But don’t worry about these questions, we will walk you through everything!

We’d all like to think of ourselves as kind and generous people. But let’s face it, when we hear about someone’s misfortune we feel bad for a second and go on with our day. That wasn’t the case for us, when we heard about Baby Juniel.
While having a meeting with Eros Cafe, one of our first clients in Rutherford, they told us of their plans to hold a fundraiser for an employee’s 5 month old son that might lose his vision. After hearing the heart breaking story of how doctors found cancerous tumors behind both of baby Juniel eyes, we knew we had to get involved.
Dimitri Valavanis had already set up a fundraiser at Eros Cafe and got a ton of local stores involved. We wanted to design the fundraiser in a way that was eye catching and would allow people to take a look at themselves
After designing and writing the content for the initial flyer, which was posted in local restaurants, we designed and printed handouts to be distributed to people in the town.
Since in person donations would be covered at the fundraiser, we wanted raise money online. So, we set up a Crowdraise page for Baby Juniel and then sent a email blast to our clients. Currently on https://www.crowdrise.com/BabyJuniel , people have generously donated $1,290.

Kicking off 2013, we were determined to set the bar for our clients as well as ourselves; this year we did just that! We are proud to announce our third award this year, the Silver Davey Award for Latino(a)s in Tech Innovation & Social Media #LATISM13 Conference Brand.
Davey Awards derives from the story of David defeating Goliath with a big idea and a little rock. (Fun Fact: That’s what inspired the shape of the award.) Awards are given to highlight the notion that smaller firms with tremendous ideas can exceed budgetary expectations.
LATISM embedded itself in all of our hearts; we’ve worked on LATISM conferences in the past and the principles’ of Pix-l Graphx held seats on the LATISM NYC Chapter Board of Directors. Honored is an understatement to explain how we felt when we got news, we received the Davey award for one of our favorite branding projects!
I hope everyone had a screamtastic Halloween, we know we did!

With Halloween approaching, we have decided to share our cringing, fangtastic, Top-Secret process for creating an award winning logo.
For starters, we are enchanted with what we do!
Entombing ourselves for hours, we fester on ideas for the logo design.
Ognjen hand molds and creates different logo concepts.
Striving to bring the best logos to life, Ognjen dissects and pieces together the parts of each glorious design.
By zapping each logo with an electric blot, he turns the logos into a digital proof.
At the stroke of midnight, we unleash our finest specimens.
Based upon the clients’ critics, we decapitate each of the specimens that are not worthy.
Left with only one specimen; we discipline him until he oozes greatness.
Once complete, this little beast of a logo is enough to give you goose bumps!
During this process, we become mad scientists (especially Ognjen). We truly put our hearts and souls into creating each logo.
At the end of every logo design project, we can proudly say – “We created that behemoth of a logo!”

Genesis Cleaning Services has been a client of our for many years and it was time to … clean up … their marketing initiatives.
The founder of the Genesis Cleaning Services had a short consultation with Alcides, she arrived with a concept, objectives and faith in our expertise. Concluding the consultation, Genesis Cleaning Services embarked on disinfecting their current marketing initiatives by implementing a new design for business cards, postcards and their website. A social presence was one of Genesis’ objectives; we decided that a promotion would aid in building their fan base.
To unsmudge the Genesis Cleaning image, we creating a new color palette while still keeping their original color of purple. This new color palette became a big part of their look and was used consistently across each of the designs.
Our first task was to create a clean business card; while still listing numerous services offered. We seeked to have a visually appealing business card that screamed freshness!
Secondly, similar to the business card, we designed a spotless postcard. This postcard would include a promotion of a free cleaning that would move traffic to the newly improved Genesis Cleaning Services website. This postcard would then be sent by Every Door Direct Mail which is designed to reach every home, every address, every time.
Genesis Cleaning Services’ website was originally very clean, however some might of said it was bare. We wanted the website to sparkle; we incorporated bright colors, photos of Genesis Cleaning Services in action, easy access to estimates and detailed company information.

The web development task was two fold. The first part was to create website content in a way that would be picked up by search engines for local searches. The second was to design and develop the website.
In completing the web development, we created detailed profiles on some of the top local online directories. We ensured that Genesis Cleaning Services gleamed over competitors.
Needless to say, we enjoyed sanitizing Genesis Cleaning Services’ marketing initiatives!
